Who's Who?

As I'm standing on the corner indulging in one of my guilty pleasures, a CrackDonald's apple pie, this fly ass, restored, vintage BMW pulls up.

The driver, a middle-aged, clean-cut, white guy shouts through the open passenger-side window "Come on, man! McDonald's is bad for you! You're in good shape!"

Just then, a lady crossing the street retorted "It's better for him than Donald Trump!" The guy pulled off with his eyebrow comically raised. Once on the sidewalk the lady winked at me and said "Really, stop eating that shit."

Funny thing... There was no obvious indication that the guy was a Trump supporter but based solely on his aesthetic, I'd have to agree with the notion that if Trump support was an actual person, It'd be this guy. 

Shame on us, ha? 

Whatever.

Do Better...

Nike needs to cut the shit and start hiring more folks who're entuned with the culture that's kept the company afloat thus far.  Any one of us would understand that exclusivity and nostalgia are the driving factors behind demand for their product.  Being unable to turn a profit selling a product, worldwide, for 15 or 20 times the manufacturing cost seems a bit outlandish to me.  Furthermore, continually dropping multiple colorways at a time for sneaker silhouettes that haven't EVER been popular has a lot more to do with the financial turmoil Nike is experiencing than whether or not Stock X is selling counterfeit Jordans.  The numbers are telling y'all in real time what the people want. Just do it.

Ultra Black

A tall, distinguished-looking sister came into the hospital concerned about something her pet may have ingested.  I was able to give her some reassurance that the plant in question was not toxic, saving her some time and money.  We spoke briefly about pet insurances and other less urgent matters. She mentioned that she's a defense attorney and gave me a business card in case I ever need her help.  As she's heading towards the door, she turns back, smiles, and says "And I'm glad to see YOU in here." To which I replied "I appreciate that." I understood exactly what she meant and I believe she knew I would, as she left without another word.
